Belize

Macal River

My first central American country. I had no idea what to expect since my friend planned this trip. From the moment we landed in the pays, it was an adventure. From tubbing around Maya sacrifice caves, swimming with nurse sharks to drinking Unique cocktails. We stayed two days Inland afterward we lived the island Life. Although we book Airbnb we had no intention of cooking. Every day was a quest to find different spots to have brunch and find different beach spots
We ate a lot of fish. The lobster was off-season and I tried Conch for the first time. We had a merry time sealing from Caye caulker to São Pedro Inland using Hobie cat 😅 we fell off the boat but we made it to the island and had a wonderful time. I never thought I could ever have a sunburn but there is always a first time for everything. In the end, this place has a spot in my heart and I would love to come back.

San Ignacio: we stayed in this small town for two days. It was close to the caves and Mayan ruins. We were able to explore the city since it was not far from our Airbnb which was a good thing since we didn’t have to use transit. We visited the local market where we had breakfast and we got a soursop. Here are a few places to visit.
