Iceland

Transforming a layover into an adventure can be a remarkable way to explore a new city, even if it’s just for a few hours. With a 5-hour layover in Iceland before my next destination, I took advantage of the island’s small size to step out of the airport and immerse myself in some sightseeing. Here’s my itinerary:

Transportations:                                                                         bus from the airport to the city 🔄 $68.30                                taxi $15.55

Eat:                                                                                                       3 frakkar rest $82.90                                                             Sbarro $ 6.75 café

I found joy in savoring local dishes and ingredients, relishing the unique flavors of puffin and whale meat.

Attractions: Lava tunnel $135

The tour lasted an hour, during which the guide shared insights about the tunnel’s colors and their causes. It was a great opportunity to learn about fascinating natural phenomena!

Miscellaneous: 2.05

Renting a car can significantly enhance your exploration experience, offering the flexibility to visit a broader range of locations at your own pace. Keep in mind that some areas may charge a fee for restroom access. Also, be aware that all listed prices are provided in Canadian dollars.

I hope this brings you some inspiration for your next adventure! A bientôt
