Tudo fix?

Not many people consider Angola a travel destination, but it is a place worth adding to your bucket list. Angola boasts a rich cultural heritage, diverse wildlife, and abundant natural resources. However, what you will truly fall in love with is the warmth and hospitality of the people. You can savor their delicious gastronomy, which will leave a lasting impression on your palate. Join the locals in dancing to the captivating rhythms of Semba, Kizomba, or the lively beats of Kuduro. Additionally, you can explore unique locations and take in breathtaking views. Now, let’s delve into Luanda, the capital city.
Stay: While you have the option to book a different hotel, be aware that the prices can be quite high. It’s essential to consider your budget when exploring alternatives.
Transportation: Local transportation is blue and white, but I only recommend using it if you speak Portuguese well or have a local guide. There are several alternative ride-sharing companies available as well.

Attractions: Several tour companies offer a variety of packages to help you explore the area. I used Luzaya Turismo, which took us from the city to Quicama National Park. Along the way, we stopped at Miradouro da Lua and visited local craft shops where we could purchase art and handcrafted clothing. They also provide options for different destinations. Here are a few more activities you can enjoy:
1. Explore the city with a local tour.
2. See the Marginal.
3. Visit Ilha de Luanda.
4. Spend the weekend in Cabo Ledo or Ilha do Mussulo.
5. Visit Fortaleza de São Miguel and the shopping center of the same name.
6. Explore the National Slavery Museum, which is similar to the Gagna, door of no return.
7. Take a local dancing class to learn Kizomba or Kuduro.
These activities will enrich your experience while visiting the area.
Did you know that France also gifted the Angolan government a structure designed by the civil engineer Gustave Eiffel? This gift is called the Palácio de Ferro.

What to eat : Mwangolé’s love for music is only surpassed by his appreciation for exquisite food. The culinary delights of our country will surely captivate your senses. Experience the richness of dishes like Mufete, Funge, Cabrite, Calulu, Moamba (crafted with various types of meat), and Cachupa. Don’t miss the chance to savour our local drinks, including the refreshing Cuca. Indulge in the finest homemade beverages that embody our culture, such as:
1. Múcua juice
2. Kissangua
3. Chá de Caxinde
4. Maruvo
Let the flavours inspire your journey!
A few things to keep in mind: your credit card may not work, so bring cash. Some areas of Luanda can be dangerous, so be cautious of your surroundings.
